The breakfast is simple Japanese style, but had what I need.

A bit more choice on Protein would give more variety.

I was able to relax in a spacious, clean room.Just that the plumbing of the bathroom made weird trickling water noise every now and then, and the faucets and the shower head weren't very nice.

The Toyoko hotels only let you check in at 16:00 hours if you are not a member of their program. If you are a member you can check in at 15:00 hours. I don’t like these schemes to pressure people into their loyalty programs

It's a nice hotel in a perfect location. Very close to the Karsuma Station, even walkable from the Kyoto station. Easy check-in and check-out. The hotel staff were nice and courteous. Ample Breakfast menu.

If you are a non-smoker, it's better to choose a non-smoking room—the smoke from other smoking rooms slightly leaks among the smoking rooms.

The hotel is pretty close to the subway and the station, rooms are not too small.

Smoking rooms are stinky, and the pillows are rock hard, it is literally impossible to sleep on them. In 2024 hotels should move to memory foam pillows ot at least provide them upon request. Japanese style pillows are terrible.

The breakfast buffet was great! Location is also pretty good if you want to get around on foot or using the bus/subway. You're also near the Karasuma shopping area.

Simple hotel with a nice location. Rooms have the necessary amenities, so nothing to complain about it.

The breakfast is nice but quite simple (buffet type but with few options). Not that I didn’t like it but I think is an important remark.

The location is near Gojo, Shijo Stns. Kyoto Stn is just less than 20 mins walk away. There is a konbini next door and a lot more around the area, also restos and affordable chains like Yoshinoya and Matsuya.The Jpanese breakfast is good, lots of choices. The staff are very nice as well. They keep your luggage for free after check out. This was actually my 3rd time staying at this chain of hotel, I just love it everytime.

The bed was very hard

The room has everything needed, including a big and very comfortable bed, a tv with satellite channels, an air conditioner with a heating option, a fridge, a hair dryer, slippers, cattle, a bathroom with hot water and a hand/wall shower and much more. Breakfast was included with several options and a coffee/tea. Compared to other Kyoto hotels, I couldn't find at that time another place that offered a better price for what was offered

The internal speaker in the ceiling was really annoying. The staff use it to communicate with cleaners meaning whatever they inform each other, you can hear LOUDLY in every room that made staying in room during a day very, very loud. More pillows would be much appreciated.
